A cardigan in wide stripes of colour worked in diagonal stitch, knitted on larger needles for an open texture, in cotton.

MATERIALS
Rowan Cotton Glace, 50g balls, each approx 115m(126 yds) (100% Cotton) or any other Sport / 5 ply cotton yarn

- 2(2,3,3,3) balls Colour A
- 2(3,3,3,3) balls Colour B
- 3(3,3,4,4) balls Colour C
- 2(2,2,3,3) balls Colour D
- 2(2,2,2,3) balls Colour E
- 4.5mm straight needles or size to obtain gauge
- 4mm 40cm(16 in) circular needles
- 5 x 14mm (1/2 in) buttons

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Chest:75 (85, 95, 105, 115)cm 29½ (33½, 37½, 41¼, 45¼) in
Length:50 (51, 52, 52.5, 53)cm 19¾ (20, 20½, 20¾, 20¾) in

GAUGE
22 sts and 32 rows to 10cm(4 ins) in Relief Diagonal Stitch using 4.5mm
needles or size to obtain gauge.
Note: This will stretch to 25 sts and 27 rows during knitting of garment due to yarn
type and needle size.
Non-cotton yarn will not behave in the same way.
